Summer Exhibitions in 2025
I have a busy early summer this year with TWO exhibitions running almost concurrently. The first, “From Light”, is a two person exhibit along with Jamie Richey at Context Fine Art in the 78th St. Studios, and runs May 14 through June 27th, with open hours during 3rd Friday Artwalks (5/16, 6/20) or by appointment. The second, Linear Worlds at Waterloo Arts, is another two person show with Elisa Albrecht, opening June 6th and running through July 19th. Each exhibition features a number of cameraless photograms from my recent body of work.
This work lives at the intersection of drawing, photography, and printmaking. Drawing from surrealism, automatism, abstraction, and free association, this work examines inspiration that plays like a silent song in my head. Patterns and motifs play rhythms, harmonies, variations, and fugues. Imaginary letters and strange mechanisms plot an indecipherable message floating in space or under a microscope. The imagery might seem familiar at a glance, but is fleeting, like waking up from a dream.
