"Bride in Black" at the Butler Institute of American Art
I'm very pleased to have been included in the 78th annual Butler Institute of Art Midyear National Exhibition, now on view through September 7th. The juried show is open to artists across the United States, and this year 91 pieces from 89 artists were selected from nearly 1,000 entries of 289 artists. While open to different mediums, the exhibit historically favors painting, and mine was one of only a handful of photographic works accepted. My image, "The Bride in Black", is part of a series of large scale photographic portraits I've been creating over the past few years. The finished piece is made up of nine separate panels measuring a total of 48" x 60".
